Yvonne Takvorian Saville, a director at Weiss, Saville & Houser, was presented with the Amicus Curiae Award by the Delaware Superior Court, according to an announcement from the firm.
President Judge Jan R. Jurden presented the award, which was given to Saville to recognize her handling 10,000 cases as a mediator and arbitrator.
Saville focuses her practice on plaintiff's personal injury, claimant's workers' compensation and alternative dispute resolution.
She serves as a special discovery master for the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and as an adjunct professor Widener University Delaware Law School.
She is a former president of the Delaware State Bar Association and serves on the board of governors of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
