Jack Jacobs, former vice chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Supreme Court justice, rejoined Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, according to an announcement from the firm.

He will serve as senior counsel in the firm's bankruptcy and restructuring group. 

Jacobs focuses his practice on securities litigation, commercial litigation and appeals and is also in the firm's portfolio company specialty group.

Young Conaway is launching a new program that will merge its restructuring expertise with  Jacobs' corporate experience. The program will provide a governance framework from the point of distress or potential conflict through the consummation and closure of a transaction, the firm said in a release.

Jacobs is an adjunct professor with the New York University School of Law, Columbia Law School, Vanderbilt University Law School and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Jacobs advises companies and boards of directors on Delaware law matters and also conducts mediation and arbitration proceedings.
