Delaware Supreme Court Administrator William S. Montgomery was awarded the Order of the First State by Gov. John S. Carney in recognition of his 40 years of public service and charity work within the state of Delaware.

Delaware Supreme Court Administrator William S. Montgomery was awarded the Order of the First State by Gov. John S. Carney in recognition of his 40 years of public service and charity work within the state of Delaware.
According to a press release from the Delaware Supreme Court, Montgomery is set to retire after serving on the court for five years.
Montgomery's work within Delaware includes serving as the executive director for the Delaware Zoological Society, as chief of staff to Wilmington Mayor James Baker, as legislative staff director for the Wilmington City Council, as volunteer coordinator with the Delaware Division of Child Protective Services, and as a social worker for the Delaware Division of Economic Services.
