Norman M. Powell, a partner with Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, was appointed to the Working Group on Legal Opinions Foundation board of directors, where he will serve a two-year term, according to an announcement from Young Conaway.
The WGLO is an organization that aims to unite constituencies concerned with legal opinions and foster discussion about legal opinions issues.
Powell handles matters related to business transactions, entity formation and governance, legal opinions, mergers and acquisitions, and secured transactions.
He is a member of the American Bar Association's business law section and the American Law Institute, and he is currently president of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.
