The restructuring and insolvency group of McDermott Will & Emery grew with the addition of David Hurst, according to an announcement from the firm.

Hurst joins as a partner in the firm's Wilmington office, and he will represent companies in Chapter 11 cases, prepackaged bankruptcies and out-of-court restructuring.

He has experience advising liquidating trusts, directors and boards of directors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditor committees, bankruptcy trustees, plan administrators and asset purchasers.

Hurst previously worked at Cole Schotz and earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. In addition to practicing law in Delaware, Hurst is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., and New York.
