Larry Kimmel, managing partner of Newark-based Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O'Neill, became a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, according to an announcement from the firm. 

Members of ABOTA must be invited to join and are voted into membership by other legal professionals.

Kimmel handles personal injury and workers' compensation matters related to motor vehicle accidents, worker injury and nursing home neglect.

He is a past president of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and a former chair of the Delaware State Bar Association workers' compensation section. He also founded and co-chaired the Jewish Federation of Delaware's Ben-Gurion Society.
