Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell announced that Michael Houghton, a partner with the firm, was appointed chair of the Uniform Law Commission study committee on mitigation of public health emergency business disruptions.
The newly formed committee will examine the need for and feasibility of uniform state laws regarding public health emergencies' effects on business operations.
The Uniform Law Commission is an organization of lawyers that aims to draft and promote the enactment of laws that are applicable to all states in the country.
