Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings has announced a multistate settlement with medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific Corp. to pay $188.6 million to 47 states and the District of Columbia over deceptive marketing claims regarding surgical mesh products. Delaware is set to receive nearly $1.4 million of that settlement.

“Today’s settlement holds Boston Scientific accountable for their failures,” said Jennings said in a statement released Monday. “My office will continue to work to ensure that Delawareans can rely on manufacturers’ assurances as to the safety and effectiveness of medical devices.”
