A class action suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Wednesday claims Ford Motor Co. should be held responsible for knowingly selling trucks with dashboards that had a tendency to warp and bend.

The complaint filed by Ian Connor Bifferato of The Bifferato Firm identifies the class as current and former owners of F-150 XL and XLT models from 2015 to 2020 and alleges the vehicles’ original dashboard panels, as well as a later version designed as a replacement in 2019, frequently warped and detached around the vents near the windshield, often well within Ford’s warranty period and sometimes within weeks of a truck being purchased.
