Connecticut has joined the First State in voicing opposition to the proposed $4.5 billion bankruptcy settlement with Stamford-based pharmaceutical giant Purdue Pharma.

On Sept. 17, Connecticut’s Attorney General William Tong made good on his promise to appeal the proposed accord by filing a formal notice of appeal with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York.
