Cleveland-based Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff saw double-digit growth across the board last year, pointing to demand that was “off the charts” and noteworthy work it handled for clients such as Smucker’s, SmileDirectClub and Gridiron Capital.

The firm, ranked No. 164 in last year’s Am Law 200, increased revenue 23.2%, to a little over $212.1 million, and average profits per equity partner 18.3%, to about $1.2 million. Net income also increased more than 20% and revenue per lawyer got a nearly 11% boost in 2021.
