Securities LitigationUS Bank, in its capacity as a securities intermediary, was hit with an insurance coverage lawsuit Tuesday in Delaware District Court. The suit, brought by Cozen O'Connor on behalf of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., seeks to void a life insurance policy that the insurer alleges was illegally procured for the purpose of benefiting investors in the life insurance secondary market. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:22-cv-00623, Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. v. U.S. Bank, National Association.
