A settlement agreement has been reached between a tenant and the landlords and property managers of a Wilmington housing cooperative, marking the first fair housing settlement facilitated by the DOJ's Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust.

Under the settlement, announced July 21, the management for the River Terrace Cooperative Inc. has agreed to create a written reasonable accommodations policy and complete training on fair housing, as well as pay damages of $2,500.
