Lawyers at Whiteford Taylor & Preston removed a civil rights lawsuit against the Dover Police Department and other defendants to Delaware District Court on Tuesday. The suit was filed by the Johnson Firm on behalf of Megan Thomas, who alleges discrimination and free speech violations in connection with detainments at a June 2020 protest against the murder of George Floyd. The case is 1:22-cv-01081, Thomas v. Johnson et al.
