Gannett Media, the U.S. media company, was hit with a digital privacy class action Monday in Delaware District Court. The suit, filed by deLeeuw Law and Levi & Korsinsky, accuses Gannett of violating the federal Video Privacy Protection Act by disclosing visitors' personal identifiable information and viewing history to Facebook without consent. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:22-cv-01464, Buechler et al v. Gannett Company, Inc.
