A contract dispute over talc claim liability arrived in Delaware just over two years ago. But for attorneys at Sullivan & Cromwell who represented Bayer, the Delaware Supreme Court upholding a dismissal last week marks the end of a nearly 10-year chapter with Merck.

The contract in question dates back to when Bayer paid $14 billion to acquire consumer product lines from Merck.
