While conceding that the Delaware State Bar Association’s corporate law section did not unanimously support proposed legislation that will permit public benefit corporations to form in Delaware, Governor Jack Markell today expressed confidence that the General Assembly will support the statute.

"This has gone through such an incredibly deliberative process and there is a pretty strong consensus in support [of the proposed legislation]," Markell said today in response to a question at a press conference to unveil the proposed legislation.
