The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted both Andre G. Bouchard and David C. McBride to Gov. Jack Markell for consideration to become the next Delaware Court of Chancery chancellor, according to sources familiar with the process. Bouchard and McBride are the only individuals who applied for the position despite the fact that the JNC had solicited additional candidates to seek the judicial vacancy.

Both Bouchard and McBride were submitted last week after the JNC completed its March 10 interviews with the litigators. Markell is expected to meet with both candidates before submitting his nominee to the General Assembly in a few weeks.
