Delaware Court of Chancery Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster has appointed a special discovery master in the dispute between two mining companies over the $436 million sale of coal mines and related assets. The vice chancellor ordered the appointment after holding the plaintiff failed to provide the court with an adequate privilege log on five occasions.

Charles H. Toliver IV, a former Delaware Superior Court judge and current partner at Morris James, will serve as the special discovery master.
