One of the business owners of NewYork.com could have damaged his company’s reputation by acting offensively in front of other employees, Delaware Court of Chancery Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons Jr. has ruled in a fight over the future ownership of the website domain.

As a result, the other business owner of NewYork.com has successfully defended a motion to dismiss its allegation that Thomas Stafford has damaged the company’s reputation, among other allegations, by cursing out the website’s information technology provider in an email and disclosing to a former employee that there was a dispute between the business owners. Stafford also allegedly tried to get that employee to share information about company operations.
