A Philadelphia jury has awarded more than $6.6 million to the estate of an 8-year-old boy who drowned during his first swimming class at a summer camp after both lifeguards on duty abandoned their posts. Named as defendants were two nonprofit companies: the owner of the camp and a Philadelphia company hired to manage the camp and its employees.
