Expert Witness Profile
Alan G. Lesnewich, J.S.C. (Ret.) served for ten years as a Union County (New Jersey) Superior Court judge after being appointed by the governor, and rejoined Fisher Phillips upon his retirement from the bench in May of 2023. He draws on nearly forty years of experience as a jurist, litigator and trial attorney, including eight years as a Fisher Phillips partner (2005-2013), to help parties resolve employment cases by way of mediation and arbitration. He also provides litigation and trial strategy advice to FP clients.
Because Judge Lesnewich spent the majority of his ten years as a judge officiating civil trials, managing complex cases and handling a significant motion docket, he provides alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services to parties involved in commercial litigation, claims of personal injury, medical malpractice, dental malpractice, legal malpractice, insurance coverage, contracts and professional malpractice matters. He is also available to provide litigation strategy, complex case management and act as a discovery master in such civil matters.
Fisher Phillips will work with you upfront to craft effective ADR programs, including binding arbitration agreements, that address your specific needs, implement them across your organization, and vigorously enforce them in any venue nationwide. We’ve represented clients in every industry in arbitrations, mediations, neutral evaluations in all relevant forums across the United States (and many abroad) and have compiled an excellent record of obtaining successful outcomes. Because we’ve opposed the leading plaintiffs’ firms many times in the past, we know the best ways to counter their tactics, including mass arbitration demands.
Our lawyers have represented many hundreds of unionized businesses in labor arbitration proceedings involving all manner of disputes ranging from discharge cases to cases with tremendous potential exposure such as those involving plant closings, production standards, severance pay, benefit plans and other related issues.
