Avraham Belizon, M.D., is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon at Baptist Health and speaks fluent English and Hebrew.
After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Belizon completed his general surgery residency at North Shore–Long Island Jewish Health System. He then continued his medical training with a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
As a specialist and nationally renowned expert in robotic and laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Belizon regularly shares his expertise with fellow surgeons across the country. He also serves an affiliate assistant professor of surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. Belizon is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has published more than a dozen papers in peer-reviewed publications such as Surgical Endoscopy, Annals of Surgery and Journal of Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Belizon considers it a privilege to use his surgical skills to help patients work through their healthcare challenges.
Dr. Belizon is the Director of the robotic surgery training program at Florida Atlantic University and work with surgical residents and medical students training them regularly. This includes education on standards of care in the industry.
