Joseph R. Madsen MD, Boston Children’s Hospital

Dr. Madsen is the Webster Family Chair in Neurosurgery and Neuroengineering with decades of experience in neurosurgery. He is an expert in neurosurgical practice and procedures, and has integrated principles from quantitative science and engineering into improving care for patients. Particular interests include hydrocephalus and epilepsy, his particular research interests, but the ability to integrate medical understanding and quantitative science also qualify him to evaluate causation and mechanism in a wide variety of neurological conditions, including both brain and spinal cord.

Holder of multiple patents, he is also qualified to evaluate technical aspects of intellectual property issues, including medical devices.
