Expert Witness Profile
Since 2010 Josh has been a forensic examiner and expert witness of Forensic Audio and Video, and a leading expert in Forensic Speaker Identification (Voice ID).
Josh holds a Master’s of Science in Forensic Science from the University of Florida with a focus on Forensic Speaker Identification / Voice ID. Josh has also completed graduate coursework in Acoustics and Linguistics from the University of Montana.
Josh is a member of the International Association for Identification (IAI). The New England Division of the International Association for Identification (NEDIAI), the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and the Acoustical Society of America (ASA). Josh attends annual conferences for these organizations and frequently publish and present. Josh’s most recent presentation was August 2023 in which he presented at the IAI conference on the history and methodology of SPID. While there he was interviewed for the Forensic Technology Center of Excellence’s Just Science Podcast titled Just Adding Value Using Voice Identification.
Josh serves on the International Association for Identification's Digital and Multimedia Evidence Science and Practice Subcommittee. The very same committee which sets the standards for qualified expert witnesses in this field.
