Dr. Kent Sasse is an experienced surgeon in areas of bariatric surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, reoperative surgery, revisional surgery, hiatal hernia, wound care, biologics, colorectal surgery, endoscopy, Barrett's esophagus, hernia and mesh, endoscopic stenting, leaks, and solving complications.
He is a thought leader with 20+ years’ service as Medical Director of a Nationally Accredited Bariatric Center and he has performed over 5,000 Bariatric Surgical procedures. Dr. Sasse is a highly experienced expert case reviewer and witness with over 100 case reviews for the Nevada State Medical Board and US Air Force with over 25 depositions and trials. Dr. Sasse is author of the books Outpatient Weight Loss Surgery and The type 2 Diabetes Cure. He is also the inventor and patent holder of bariatric surgical device.
Dr. Sasse was top of his class and AOA medical school graduate from the University of California San Francisco. He is a published research scientist, award-winning teacher and surgeon. He is San Francisco and Boston trained with a UCSF General Surgery Residency, and Boston Lahey Clinic Colorectal Surgery Fellowship; He has been a proctor and mentor to visiting surgeons and is currently part of the University of Nevada School of Medicine faculty.
