Peter D. Vash M.D.

Peter Vash, MD, MPH, F.A.C.E., is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine Emeritus at the David Geffen School of Medicine UCLA Medical Center, received a master’s of Public Health degree from the UCLA School of Public Health, and was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the UCLA School of Medicine. A past president of the America Society of Bariatric Physicians, and is board certified in Internal Medicine specializing in Endocrinology and Metabolism with an emphasis on Obesity Medicine, and is a Diplomate and is board certified in Obesity Medicine.

He testified as an invited expert witness before a Senate sub-committee on nutrition and has served as an expert reviewer for the State of California Medical Board. He has also served as an expert witness for several legal firms, on a national level, and has testified in court many times. He has extensive clinical experience treating overweight and obese patients, post bariatric surgical patients, patients with thyroid disease and patients with type 2 diabetes and those with diabetic complications.
