Suzanne A Hoekstra MD FACS

Dr. Hoekstra is a surgeon who has over 26 years of experience in her field. She has helped both plaintiffs and defendants with malpractice litigation for over 25 years. She has served as expert witness and has trial experience. Trained as a general surgeon, she subspecialized in breast cancer surgery in 2006 and cancer genetics in 2010. She is board certified in general surgery. She has also served as the medical director of two NAPBC-accredited breast centers and is a current NAPBC site reviewer. Finally, she has over 10 years experience on the Credentials Committee for a health insurance company.

She is willing to perform chart review and serve in expert witness capacity, as well as assist with credentialing needs. She is licensed in the state of Maine, but is willing to assist those in other states and travel as the need arises.
