Thomas J. Esposito MD, MPH, FACS, Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon

Dr. Esposito is a nationally and internationally renowned academic Trauma and Acute Care surgeon with over 30 years experience practicing elective and emergency general surgery, trauma and burn surgery as well as surgical critical care and wound management at major university medical centers. He has served as a Director of a Level I Trauma Center and a Wound Care Center. Currently Board Certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, he has also earned a Master's Degree in Public Health. He is an active member of multiple professional organizations and has held leadership positions in many. He has over 150 publications and over one million dollars in grant funding on wide ranging topics to his credit. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally. Much of his research has focused on preventable trauma related death analysis. He has served as an expert witness and case reviewer for both the plaintiff and defense and been deposed as a treating physician in numerous cases.
