U.S. Steel Corp. Appoints New GC

United States Steel Corp. appointed James D. Garraux as general counsel and senior vice president of labor relations and environmental affairs. Garraux most recently served as the company's vice president of labor relations. He succeeds Dan Sandman, who retired as the company's vice chairman and chief legal and administrative officer.


MIT Hires First General Counsel

Massachusetts Institute of Technology appointed R. Gregory Morgan as its first-ever general counsel. Prior to joining the university, Morgan was the co-managing partner of the Los Angeles law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson.


Pharmaceutical Company Hires GC

Cambridge, Mass.-based Altus Pharmaceuticals Inc. hired Bruce A. Leicher as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Leicher previously served as vice president, general counsel, secretary and compliance officer of Antigenics Inc.
