St. Louis-based Emerson, a manufacturing company, hired Frank Steeves as senior vice president, secretary and general counsel. Steeves joins the company from Milwaukee-based law firm von Briesen & Roper, where he served as vice chairman. He succeeds W. Wayne Withers, who served as the company's general counsel for the past 18 years.
