Law firms Stinson Morrison Hecker and Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss have combined their Missouri offices to become one of the three largest firms in the state. The combination became effective July 1, with the combined firms taking the name Stinson Morrison Hecker.

Following the merger, the firm counts more than 360 total attorneys in 45 practice areas, with office locations in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Arizona and Washington, D.C. Stinson Morrison's St. Louis office becomes one of the ten largest law offices in the city, with 65 attorneys.

The firm is currently operating out of both the Clayton, Mo., office of Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss and the downtown St. Louis office of Stinson Morrison Hecker, with plans underway to find an office location for the combined firms.

Stinson Morrison Hecker formed in May 2002 when Stinson, Mag & Fizzell and Morrison & Hecker combined. Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss was formed in St. Louis in 1950.
