Florida woman launches landmark legal battle to prevent loan firms harassing consumers via Facebook

A woman from Tampa, Florida is hoping to make legal history by taking a debt collection firm to court in a bid to prevent them using Facebook to harass clients to pay up.
Melanie Beacham fell behind with her car finance loan payments after she fell ill and was forced to take medical leave from work.
But in spite of contacting MarkOne Financial to alert them about her situation, she claims the company began a campaign of harassment, telephoning her up to 20 times a day.
