WASHINGTON–Dean Foods Co., the nation's largest dairy processor, Tuesday agreed to sell a Wisconsin milk plant to settle an antitrust lawsuit brought by the Justice Department.

The divestiture of the Waukesha, Wis. plant substantially unwinds the 2009 purchase of Foremost Farms USA's consumer-products division. It marks a victory for the Obama administration's Justice Department in its first effort to challenge a merger.
