Last night, Governor Deval Patrick, D-MA, made an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Patrick, the former general counsel of The Coca-Cola Co., was on the show to promote his new book, “Reasons to Believe: Lessons from an Improbable Life.” Patrick spoke briefly about growing up on the south side of Chicago in a tough area of town before getting a scholarship that changed the path of his life. The conversation also focused on education and health care reform in Massachusetts.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
