Mark A. Schlossberg has been appointed general counsel and senior vice president of Impax Laboratories. Schlossberg previously served as vice president and associate general counsel for Amgen Inc., where he was responsible for areas of corporate governance and securities law, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, and global operations.
The Howard Hughes Corp. has named Peter F. Riley senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Riley has been a partner at K&L Gates since 2004 and previously led the tax department at Kelly, Hart & Hallman. He also served as senior tax counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
A. Verona Dorch joins Harsco Corp., a worldwide industrial services and engineered products company, as general counsel, vice president, deputy and assistant corporate secretary. She has been with Harsco since 2006.
AmeriGas Partners has promoted Steven A. Samuel to vice president and general counsel. Samuel will succeed Robert K. Knauss, who is retiring from the company. Samuel joined AmeriGas in 1995 as associate general counsel and was promoted to vice president and associate general counsel in 2008.
R. Rand Tucker has been named vice president and general counsel for La-Z-Boy Inc., in a newly created position. Tucker joined La-Z-Boy in 2000 as corporate counsel, when the company acquired LAAD furniture. Previously, he served as vice president and general counsel at LAAD.
Citizens Republic Bancorp has named Ken Ross assistant general counsel and director of public relations. Ross previously served as commissioner of the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation for Flint, Mich.
Stephen K. Krull joins Con-way Inc. as general counsel, executive vice president and secretary. Krull recently served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Owens Corning in Toledo, Ohio.
Jolan Storch has been appointed general counsel and business development advisor for the Canadian Olympic Committee. Storch was previously a partner at Macleod Dixon in Calgary, Canada. Storch will now support the COC and the Canadian Olympic Foundation in all areas of business and in-house legal needs.
AIA Group Limited has named Mitch New as group vice president and general counsel. New joins AIA from Manulife Financial, where he worked for more than 14 years and held various senior posts, including senior vice president and chief legal officer. At AIA Group, New will lead Legal Services and Company Secretarial Functions.
J. Paul Carland II joins the Broward School Board, located in South Florida, as general counsel. Carland was fomerly general counsel for the Hernando County School District, where he served since 2005.
ITT Corp. has named several new executives as it prepares to split into three separate companies. Burt Fealing will serve as general counsel and corporate secretary for the new ITT Corp. Fealing is currently vice president and corporate secretary for ITT. Frank Jimenez has been appointed general counsel and corporate secretary for ITT's new water technology business. Jimenez is currently vice president and general counsel of ITT. Ann Davidson has been appointed general counsel and corporate secretary for the new defense and information solutions business. She currently serves as vice president of corporate responsibility for ITT Corp.
Katie Lever joins Shuffle Master as general counsel. Lever was previously general counsel and executive vice president for Global Cash Access in Las Vegas, where she worked since 2005.
Javier Rodriguez has been appointed general counsel of Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals. Rodriguez, who has been with the Reckitt Benckiser Group of companies for three years, currently serves as senior counsel for Reckitt Benckiser LLC, the group's North American-based consumer products business. Prior to joining Reckitt Benckiser, Rodriguez worked in-house at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and Berlex Inc.
Effective in July, Lorraine Sciarra will join Audubon as general counsel. Prior to joining Audubon, Sciarra served as senior university counsel at Princeton University for more than 20 years.
