A Houston jury has said Jamie Leigh Jones wasn't raped six years ago while she was working in Iraq for KBR, a defense contractor and former subsidiary of Halliburton. Jones had sued KBR after claiming she was gang raped by company employees while working in Baghdad.

The case has been closely followed as it raised questions about arbitration clauses. The company tried to prevent Jones from suing because she had signed an employment contract that required all disputes to be privately arbitrated. Despite that contract, in late 2009 the 5th Circuit said she may sue KBR.

The case went to trial in mid-June, and on July 8 a jury found in favor of KBR.
