Yahoo Inc. General Counsel Ron Bell has just about had it with people leaking internal company memos, something that has been plaguing the technology company for quite some time. Bell is hoping that where an offered $1,000 reward for information failed to quell the flow of memos to the outside world, threats may succeed.

Bell reportedly announced that anyone who is found to have leaked company information to the press will be fired, and may even be criminally prosecuted. Of course, the irony is that we only know that because somebody went ahead and leaked his memo saying this to blog AllThingsD. So perhaps the threat of criminal prosecution isn't fazing the mole after all. But only time will tell if Bell is able to plug the leak on his company's confidential information.
