Bostrom comes to Abercrombie from the law firm Greenberg Traurig, where he co-chaired the company's Financial Regulatory and Compliance Practice. Along with his role with Freddie Mac during the financial crisis, Bostrom has also served as GC of National Westminster Bancorp. “Bob has led and helped build some of the best legal departments in the country and has advised leading companies on an expansive range of issues,” Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries said in a statement.

 

Real estate investment trust Liberty Property Trust owns over 65,000,000 square feet of office and industrial space throughout the U.S. and U.K., which means that a real estate expert is needed to keep the company's substantial legal dealings in line. Enter Herman C. Fala, who will take over Liberty's GC position beginning on January 1. Fala comes to Liberty from Cozen O'Connor, where he most recently chaired the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. Network security company Infoblox Inc. is hoping that its legal future is now more secure with the appointment of Stephen Yu as executive vice president and general counsel. Yu brings with him more than 20 years of legal leadership experience, most recently serving as EVP, general counsel and secretary of Rovi Corporation for seven years. Yu has also served as GC of Aspect Communications Corporation, Riverstone Networks, Inc., and Palm, Inc. “[Steve] has served as a strong leader and legal advisor throughout his career and with his guidance we are well positioned to protect and enhance the business interests of Infoblox,” said Infoblox CEO Robert Thomas in a statement.

Consumer electronics company Roku has become a leader in streaming entertainment devices for the TV, but given the copious IP fights in the tech space recently, a strong legal team leader is needed to push the company going forward. Stephen Kay has been hired as the man for the job and will join Roku as senior vice president and general counsel in 2014. Kay is currently a managing partner in the Los Angeles office of Hogan Lovells, where he is a co-leader of the firm's global Technology, Media and Telecoms team.
