Clifford Chance (CC) has raided Dutch and US rivals to strengthen its international corporate and projects practices.
Corporate partner Charles Eijsbouts is joining CC's 90-lawyer Amsterdam office from Rotterdam-based rival Trenite Van Doorne.
In Hong Kong, CC has recruited Evan Cohen, the former Hong Kong head of project finance and banking at US firm Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy.
Cohen is CC's third Hong Kong-based US-qualified partner. The firm has more than 80 US lawyers worldwide.
The Amsterdam office was set up in 1972. CC remains the only City firm to have an office in the country.
Its practice areas are national and international banking, media and telecoms. The majority of the office's fee earners are Dutch.
Peter Bayliff, managing partner of the Amsterdam office, said: "[Eijsbouts'] recruitment is in response to increased demand for our services in the Dutch market, and to the growing stream of Dutch corporate work referred to us from our international clients."
City rival Linklaters has strengthened its presence in the country through its alliance with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
