Wragge & Co has become the latest firm to buy the CMS Open practice management system, which allows fee earners to bill clients directly from their PCs.
The Birmingham firm – the largest single office practice outside London, with more than 400 fee earners – is spending £500,000 on installation, support and training for the new system, £100,000 of which will be spent on new hardware.
Wragges' acquisition of the software follows purchases of CMS Open by national firm Pinsent Curtis, Fladgate Fielder in London's West End, Ward Hadaway in the northeast, and leading German firm Puender Volhard Weber & Axster.
