The Paris bar is to bring proceedings against Pricewaterhouse-Coopers' (PwC's) Paris law firm over its use of the accountancy firm's name in its title.
After months of negotiations, the bar decided last week to bring PwC before an internal tribunal.
If PwC loses the case, it will then have the right to take it to the Court of Appeal in France.
Although the bar would make no official comment, a source said it was getting tired of the accountancy firm's repeated failure to conform to the rules, which say that law firms associated with accountancy firms must have different names.
