PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has launched an interactive IP website that can help clients draw up licensing agreements.
The site is an updated version of the IP Exchange, which the Big Five accountant launched in 1996.
For an annual fee of £15, the site offers basic services, including a database of lawyers, an online Q&A service and articles on intellectual asset management.
For an extra £30 fee, visitors will be able to use a 'Licensing Strategy Developer 2000′ service. The service matches subscribers' queries on licensing agreements and their terms and conditions with an online database, which then works out whether the query is consistent with industry standards. PwC is also planning to introduce an online trademark search facility.
Bryan Benoit, the site's US-based inventor, claimed the site was the first of its kind and said it would help the firm maintain its position in the intellectual asset management field.
