Yorkshire firm Last Cawthra Feather has returned to school to find someone to head up its new £250,000 computer system upgrade.
Christine Conroy is joining the 12-partner firm from Bradford Girls Grammar School, where as network manager, she was responsible for more than 200 computers and 1,000 computer users.
The firm's 80 staff, spread across offices in Bradford, Shipley and Ilkley, are currently coming to terms with the new IT system, which was installed by the Yorkshire-based company TFB, which is also providing its casework management system.
The rest of the package includes Windows NT, Microsoft Word and shared computerised diaries.
Conroy will also be responsible for the conversion and transfer of files and data to the new system.
She said: "This new software will give instant IT access to all staff, improving communication and productivity.
"It is a very different atmosphere from the school – I miss the bell going off every half-hour."
The firm's managing partner, Simon Stell said: "We are delighted to have Christine on board the team. With her IT expertise we aim to enhance the existing service to clients by increasing workplace efficiency.
"This expenditure on computers further highlights the firm's commitment to continually upgrading the service available to existing and prospective clients."
