Leading Swedish firm Vinge has added a corporate finance partner to its London office and moved to larger premises in the City.
Corporate finance partner from Vinge's Stockholm office, Karin Ulberstad, will join Hans Bagner who has been in London for 15 years.
As well as expanding its ability to service large investment banks with Scandinavian interests, the new office is now large enough to incorporate Vinge's two allied firms – Denmark's Kromann Reumert and Norway's Thommessen Krefting Greve Lund – on the same floor.
Both firms have one partner working alongside Vinge in London.
Johan Gothberg, managing partner of Vinge, said: "London is more important [than other foreign jurisdictions]."
He added that there was a lot of interest from Anglo-Saxon firms in linking with Scandinavian firms, but the firm had no plans to merge with a non-Scandinavian firm in the short term.
