Bristol firm Burges Salmon has announced its new management team with Richard Wynn-Jones and Guy Stobart taking over as senior and managing partner respectively next May.

The pair, who were the sole candidates, will take over from corporate partner David Marsh when he returns to full-time client work at the end of his term in April.
As senior partner, Marsh had taken on both roles since last May, when the managing partner elect, head of commercial litigation Paul Haggett, was forced to delay and then cancel his appointment due to client commitments.

Wynn-Jones, who has been a company commercial partner with the firm since 1983, is well known for transport and PFI work, leading Burges Salmon's team advising British Rail on the privatisation of Great Western Trains, West Anglia and Great Northern Railway.
