US firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has appointed a new partner to its Washington DC practice. Merrill Kramer has joined the firm's global energy, communications and infrastructure practice. Kramer joins the firm from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld where he has worked for the past 10 years as head of the firm's electric utility practice.
