Linklaters makes up foreign partners

Linklaters has made up more partners abroad than in its London office. The firm has made up 29 partners in its annual partnership round, down from 38 last year. Only nine of the new partners are based in the UK. The new appointments take the firm's partnership to 490. The partners will practise in the following areas: corporate (8), banking (3), capital markets (3), finance (3), real estate (3), tax (3), competition (2), litigation (2) and one each for IP and IT. Nine of the partners are based in Germany, and five are based in Eastern Europe.
