Richards Butler has hired former Garretts corporate partner David Bolton as a consultant in its London office along with his senior corporate assistant, Simone Snyder.
Bolton had been a partner at Garretts for six years and previously a partner at Herbert Smith for 23 years. His clients include a number of fully-listed and AIM-quoted companies as well as international organisations.
The pair joined the firm's corporate finance group after continued efforts by Garretts' City partners to find positions at other firms after it emerged that no firm was willing to take on the whole of Andersen's tied London legal practice.
The head of corporate finance at Richards Butler, Roy Montague-Jones, said: "With his distinguished city career, David brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate and corporate finance work and a proven track record in developing new business."
Last week, Scottish firm Dundas & Wilson finalised the appointment of five partners from the defunct Garretts. Firms such as Bird & Bird, Taylor Joynson Garrett, Tite & Lewis and Wilmer Cutler have also made senior hires from the firm's London office.
Garretts' national offices have largely been accounted for, with Olswang taking Reading, Pinsent Curtis Biddle taking Birmingham and Beachcroft Wansbroughs taking Manchester.
