Freshfields cancels party to cut costs

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has confirmed that it has cancelled its partners' Christmas party to save money, following the implementation of a number of cost-saving measures this year. Freshfields stressed its other departmental parties would be going ahead as usual. A spokeswoman said: "It would be inappropriate to spend money on a Christmas lunch when we are saving money elsewhere."
